Sanderson respecting the ammunition of war seized at Hongkong on board the Steamship "Tong Chau", has the honour to acquaint His Excellency that the Governor of Hongkong will be instructed to hand over the ammunition in question to the officer who may be authorized to receive it, on payment of the expenses which have been incurred by the Hongkong Government in connection with the matter, including charges at the usual rates for warehousing it at the Government Gunpowder Depot during the period of detention.
